Just Us Girls #382 - Photo Week

Lovely photo this week.  Actually, it is a gorgeous outside view - of course in my case,  there would be no snow [fine with me].  I do love tulips~

That said, I have no images that are tulips! [akkk!] - so I used Inspired By Stamping Flowers in Bloom, using the gorgeous rose [retired], and my sentiment is a new set I recently purchased by Concord & 9th, Painted Thank You Stamp set.  I LOVE this font!

Okay, your turn.  How does the photo inspire you?  Come on over to Just Us Girls Challenge and play along!  Be sure and check out the fabulous samples the team has made.

Simply Stamps

For my Simply Stamps project today, I made a card gift box.  Because I have soooo many cards, I usually end up "boxing" up 10-12 cards, and giving them as gifts.  What better way then to use a decorated "recycled" cigar box.

While I kept my box pretty basic, the potential to add layers, embellishments etc, is endless.

along with a few of the Color Box Archival Dye Inks, and randomly stamped the images on a panel of white card stock.

Using plain red washi tape, I adhered the panel to the top of the cigar box.

I continued to wrap the box with designer paper, and more washi tape to finish off covering the entire box.
Like I said, basic, but it definitely works!

And, as an added bonus, I was able to use my new personalized Printer 15 self-inking stamp, on the back of all my cards!

Using Simple Stamps products to make my project worked out perfectly!  Pop on over and check out all the products SS carries.  There is an amazing selection~

Seize the Birthday Challenge - Inlaid Dies

Optional Topping; Inlaid Dies

It's time for the Seize the Birthday Challenge.  This challenge [should you choose] is inlaid dies.  Otherwise, it must be a birthday card.

I went total simple!  I used some fabulous designer paper from Dare 2B Artsy, Blissful Bloom, and just cut out the Happy [Crafty Cutt Dies], which I adhered to some craft foam for dimension.  It's a little hard to see with the beautiful pattern, but I still love this!

I am also entering this into the Love To Craft Challenge; anything goes.

Your turn!  Make your card, and play over at the Seize Your Birthday Blog.

Simply Stamps Day

I needed a project, and since my Simply Stamps stamp came to mind, I decided to share it with you today. :)

My sister has officially retired.  THAT is crazy [where did all those years go?] - Anyway, I flew up to Seattle last week to surprise her at her work retirement party. [Yep, she was totally surprised :)]  Because of the day, I was able to spend the week end with her too.  It was very fun.

Knowing that she would need thank you cards,  I made her a set.  Here is the finished project:

Again, very basic, but sometimes that is all you need~

I started by folding my card bases, cutting my designer paper to size, and cutting strips.

I adhered the papers to the base, along with the strip, and using my MISTI, I stamped all the cards with the Thank You stamp from Simply Stamps.

The advantage of this stamp, is the stamp image peels off easily to be able to use it in my MISTI.

10 minutes later, my card project was completed and ready for my trip.

I do enjoy making projects like this.  Do you ever make sets of cards for gifts?
