I am happy to let you know that Jane Taylor has created a fun hop over on Instagram featuring Gift Tags. We will be hopping on the 5th of every month. Because I enjoy making tags, I joined in the hop too. Since not everyone does Insta, I will be posting on my blog too.
When I mail out birthday cards, I sometimes try and include a fun tag, [as a small gift] - especially if the recipient is a reader of hard covered books. For today's tag, I did a mixed media background with water colored stenciling, and once dry, I stamped a few images.
To add some layering/texture, I used some dies from ECD's Everyday Elements Tag Variety Pack, and also embossed a few. My main image is from [yep, you got it] Everyday Elements Beetles & Bugs Stamp and Die Set.

I'm sharing another card that I made with the new Everyday Elements Sunny Days Release. There are some amazing products in this release!
I started with Soft Finished Card Stock for my card base, and the small amounts of white on my card. I used a lovely faux textured green paper from Colorful Collective Paper Pad, for the background panel, and another sheet, orange, for the oranges [Fresh Fruit Dies]. The leaves are also from this same set. Lastly, the sentiment is from Playful Sentiments.

I used the beautiful Textured and Shimmery, Hummingbird Teal, along with Basis Blue, Dark Teal, and a little Bright White. I am totally loving the texture of the Hummingbird - I feel it adds such an elegance.
The best part of this card is I used a die I haven't touched in years! Yep, Tim Holtz Mini Paper Rosettes. It has the 2 sizes, and over all, fun to create with. I started with some designer paper, inked swiped on the colors, and then cut and created the rosettes.
Happy Birthday to this challenge! I've been on this Team since 2022. I'm very glad that team members stepped up and took over the challenge...it almost was shut down! That would of been a loss for sure. Now, 6 years later and it is still going strong!
The timing is perfect as my great niece is also turning 6! I do love being able to actually use a DT card.
Once again, my friend Pinterest came through for an idea. [I love the inspiration that site gives me.]
